My name is Kaitlyn Zavesky

Kaitlyn Zavesky grew up in Columbus, Ohio with a love for sea turtles knowing she wanted to make a difference for the species. She graduated with a degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. She has worked with four of the seven species of sea turtles since the start of her career in 2018.

As a biologist working with sea turtles, Kaitlyn has the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of their conservation. This involves protecting nesting locations, rehabilitation, long term care for injured, studying migration routes, and the impact of human activities on their populations. By conducting research within the framework of state issued permits, Kaitlyn ensures that her work aligns with legal and ethical guidelines and prioritizes the well-being of the sea turtles.
